So as we begin the fall 2018 exam season, we’re adding a number of updates to Qpractice to help you pass the new NCIDQ Exams!
As continued from Spring, courses for all 3 exams are available in one membership, to help you make the most of the overlap between them:
- If you’re taking PRAC 2.0, all 4 knowledge areas overlap with either IDFX, IDPX or both.
- If you’re taking IDFX, 5 of the 7 knowledge areas overlap with IDFX, PRAC 2.0 or both.
- If you’re taking IDPX, 4 of the 7 knowledge areas overlap with IDFX, PRAC 2.0 or both.
Much of what we’re reviewing is essentially the same as far as studying goes, the major difference is with the type/format of questions and the level of detail/application.
By studying together, we’ll be better able to have meaningful and helpful discussions in the study group, and also cover your questions during office hours in a way that all can benefit, and help each other.
We’ve designed the structure to accommodate everyone, whether:
- you’re just taking 1 exam and want to purchase a few months access for 1 exam
- you’re planning on taking 2 or more sections over the next year and plan to study for the spring and fall exams
So for example, when we’re all studying Building components and assemblies for example, for IDFX that might mean identification, for IDPX — integration with other systems, and PRAC 2.0 — both of those but in a visual format where you’ll solve a problem by clicking a hot spot or dragging and dropping components or labels into place.
We’ve also brought back over 40 special edited versions of our past office hours, now available in our new Practicum Answer Vault, with more videos on the way. Get the entire answer vault video collection in our Premium Access membership plans.
These will help you to better understand the how individual PRAC questions work within the context of an entire area, similar to the actual case studies. In fact, some of the past hand drawn Practicums may make an appearance on the newer case studies or exams, such as the 2014-2 Commercial Space Planning is now the basis of the current CIDQ Small Commercial Case Study practice test. We review this in our Practicum Workshop.
Also on the way is the new Qpractice NCIDQ Exam Guide, 2nd Edition. This freshly updated version includes selected chapters from the new 2018 editions of the Codes Guidebook for Interiors and Interior Design Visual Presentation. We expect this to be ready by the first of the week following the July 4 holidays, if not before.
Finally, be sure to check out the updated study schedule, so you can make a plan to get started to pass the NCIDQ Exam this fall!
